E-VDI is a light VDI software platform that enables a browser-managed virtualization appliance to deliver a

wide choice of operating systems (simultaneously, if required) including Microsoft™ Windows 7/8, cloud-clients and Linux.

It uses low-cost hardware from a range of leading manufacturers. Customers can manage the virtualization appliance from any browser on the LAN with an interface simple enough for anyone to install and manage a VDI solution.

Compared to RDP Solution L300, OS-easy E-VDI is:

Simpler –OS-easy E-VDI 's integrated hypervisor and drag-and-drop browser management interface empowers even those with limited IT training to easily deliver Microsoft™ Windows 7/8 desktops. In contrast, RDP Solution's approach to virtualization legally can only support only Windows Server and requires windows admin level skills to configure, manage and update each individual Server.

Flexible –OS-easy E-VDI's approach to virtualization means administrators can offer a choice of operating systems or desktop images to end users. Admins can quickly create multiple desktop images and offer end users access to as many or as few as required. In contrast, RDP Solution can only be legally used with either a Windows Server OS or Ubuntu and requires all users to use the same operating system or desktop image.

Stable – While OS-easy E-VDI runs windows in an isolated virtual machine , RDP Solution makes low-level modifications to Windows that expose users to potential stability issues whenever Microsoft™ Windows updates are released. Even RDP Solution recommends all administrators test Microsoft™ Windows security patches and updates before roll out. With RDP Solution, Windows system administration can only be performed when users are not using the system. If you are going to reboot, you need to reboot all users.
