Project brief:

With the advancement of education informatization, after the school leaders learned about the benefits of school construction in teaching by using desktop virtualization, they would like to adopt OS-easy education desktop cloud solutions(E-VDI) in their new build computer lab, thereby, abandoned the traditional PC deployment implementation plan, to realize computer lab centralized management, it can save much computer lab maintenance investment and power cost, highly improve the informationization level of school teaching.

Application scenarios:

In the Fourth Middle School, implement 80 units OS-easy E-VDI cloud desktop in classroom, use all in one (AIO) as the terminal devices. Then create win7 teaching environment, install the common software and OS-easy interactive Teaching System in students’ side, then configure a teaching PC as the console for interactive teaching.

Software installed in virtual desktop:

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, Cisco Packet Tracer, WinRAR, PDF reader, video and audio player, input method, OS-easy Interactive Teaching System.

In this solution, terminal devices are only used for displaying desktop image and transmitting signals, all the data is stored in the servers, achieving the centralized management for big data.

1, All the desktops actually run in the servers, therefore, we can maintain all the terminals by managing the servers.

2, We only need to update or install software in the server side when the virtual desktop system needs patching or install new software, thus improves the deployment efficiency of teaching environment a lot.

3, Instead of traditional PCs, the AIO terminal devices power consumption is about 1/15 of the traditional PCs, not only energy saving but also fashionable, which improved the information technology and modernization for teaching affairs.
